In the coldness and darkness of wintery Vaasa you can only dream about the changing colour of the sand of Sahara when the sun goes down. But if you close your eyes and put some exotic music on, you can feel that sun and see the snake charmers, belly dancers and fortune tellers. You just need to believe in small miracles and hope to find that genie who gives you wishes. But remember to be careful what you wish for since you will get only three wishes!
ESN Vaasa is organizing One Thousand and One Nights Sitsit! This is the night when your wishes might get real.
Loud and colorful, beautiful and even chaotic... but never boring! With these words you can describe Morocco (which is one of the countries which were good inspiration for this party and outfits) but also our mysterious party!
So check out your closets or get inspired by 1001 nights books, Aladdin movie, pictures of Moroccan culture or closest bazaar (Maybe you don't find bazaars, but at least there are many second hand stores in Vaasa).
1001 nights sitsit will begin at 18.30 and you take photos in our photo booth or buy more drink tickets in the first 30 minutes. Program will start at 19.00. So dress up with your mystic costume which can be anything between Arabic Princess, fortuner teller or even a camel.The doors are open only between 18.30-19.00 so be on time!
One more sitsit for this semester. Are you ready for it? We are! It's time to take your flying carpet out and get a ticket to our LAST but not least sitsit.
The ticket costs 16 € for members of ESN Vaasa, and 18 € for non-members. The price includes the entrance, meal, two drinks (beer, cider, long drink or non-alcoholic), two shots, sitsit songbook, after party and an overall badge. You can only pay in cash. During the sitsit more drinks are available, but you can buy them only in cash.

What is a sitsit party?
Sitsit is a traditional academic table festival originating from the Nordic countries. During this festival people eat, hold speeches, sing drinking songs and drink.
Sitsit is probably the most popular student event in Finland. So we are proud to invite you to experience this kind of event with us. All you need is a free adventurous mind…. And an exotic outfit!
