Apples are a fruit widely available during winter. They are great sources of fiber and vitamins, and there are so many types that you can choose which variety you like better. What is more, they can also be cooked and added in desserts or other meals to pop that flavor!

NA Online VII/2020, also known as ChristNAs, is called extraordinarily due to filling the last vacancy in the newly established Arbitration Board. The meeting will last for an approximately 1-1½ hours.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is each year acknowledging mental health on 10th of October, which is the World Mental Health Day.

The National Board of ESN Finland is hereby inviting you to our upcoming National Assembly Aurora- yes, it will be taking place physically! The NA will be taking place between the 22nd and the 24h of October, 2021 in the beautiful city of Tampere. Below you have all the necessary details. The agenda of the event will come later.

 

HOW TO REGISTER 

You can register by accessing the following link (sent by email). Each section has guaranteed 2 spots. You can register more but then you have to send a priority list to board@esnfinland.eu. More information at the event registration. Registrations will be open until 22.09.2021.

Fill in this VOTE DELEGATION FORM (sent by email). If your section cannot attend, it is a requirement to delegate your vote by filling the same delegation form.

2 nights of hotel accommodation from Friday to Sunday

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT GENERAL FUND 

ESN Finland’s sections have a common bank account that has funds to cover sections’ projects called General Fund (GF). Every academic year, every section can apply up to 3 times for project funding and 4 times for travel funding (§4.2). However, this time, the NB has already decided to grant a full reimbursement of one (1) participation fee for the event for every section without application and consuming the aforementioned times. Additionally, every section could apply for GF if they consider it necessary to cover the rest of their participation in the event. Under our interpretation, this decision is supported by the GF Guidelines (§3.2). More to it, we have consulted previous NBs and this has a recent precedent in the National Platform Palosaari 2017. More information about this will come in the next CLR, which will be around the time when the payments are meant to be done. ️Please remember that you should pay the participation fee as soon as you get the spot approval, no later than 03.10.2021. Your final registration is confirmed as soon as we receive your payment.

ESN Finland is calling its spring meeting: National Assembly Spring 2020 - QuarantiNA. This time we meet online and one of the main topics of the meeting is to choose a new National Board.

ESN Finland is calling its spring meeting: National Platform Kuopio 2020. This is a second announcement as the first one didn't include some of the points to be discussed during the meeting. The NP will take place 20.-22.03.2020 in Kuopio and will contain at least the following agenda points: approval of the previous NP meetings, the election of the National Board 2020-2021, determination of the Action Plan, Annual Budget, Membership Fee of the term 2020-2021, and voting on SOS amendments. Please notice that the call for National Board 2020-2021 is now open and any potential applicants are more than welcome to approach the current National Board.

The National Platform, taking place twice a year, is ESN Finland's highest decision-making body and a meeting consisting of one or two representatives from each ESN section of Finland.

Yesterday, the 14th of November was the world diabetes day. Our Health and Wellbeing coordinator Susanna, as well as our Social inclusion coordinator Tiia has written about diabetes and some good to knows.

The National Representative of ESN Finland - Claudia shares her yummy recipe on home-made guacamole. She is a Mexican, so she knows her Guac! This recipe can be used for cosy movie nights on chilly October and November evenings 

Today, the 10th of October is the World Mental Health Day. Our Health and Wellbeing coordinator Susanna, along with ESN Vaasa's Social Inclusion coordinator Daniela and the National Social Inclusion coordinator Tiia has written a blogpost to bring attention to this important topic

The 15th every month we will publish the "Recipe of the Month" - a favorite recipe from someone in our lovely community! Today, Susanna our Health and Wellbeing coordinator, is sharing her favorite recipe - the delicious Toivola's apple pie!

Once again, it’s almost that time of the year when we gather together to make the big decisions and see some old and new faces at the National Platform.
NP is the highest decision-making body of ESN Finland, taking place twice a year and this autumn it’s coming to the beautiful city of Oulu!

NP Oulu will take place on 11-13th of October 2019 and during the weekend we’ll have plenaries, workshops, and of course the social programme in the evenings, including sitsit on Saturday.

So pack up your bags and brace yourself for an unforgettable weekend surrounded by other ESNers in the fifth biggest city in Finland!

For the first time ever, we are organising a physical CLR (Council of Local Representatives)! Along with this event, we will also organise a physical NP in a form of a two-day event taking place in Hervanta, Tampere on 3th to 4th of May 2019.

The CLR-part is more focused on the evening of 3th of May, while the physical NP takes place during the morning to afternoon of 4th of May. ESN Finland would like to call to order a National Platform Skype I/2019, which will be held on: 24th of April at 19:00 in Skype. You can find the agenda of the meeting attached. The agenda includes topics such as the elections for the vacant NB positions (see open call sent earlier) and NP OC for autumn 2019.
